Well I have come down with my first cold :( I did so well this whole 8 months combatting colds, but this one got me. I met Dr. Marks today (the only male dr) and he was very quirky...I thought he had a great sense of humor and said that since I'm this far along, it's ok for me to take a few recommended medicines to fight the symptoms. I'm going to take Actifed and Robitussin and hopefully that will work.
Everything seems to be going pretty well though. Baby seems healthy and so is my blood pressure. They took more blood from me for another iron screening. Bobby was wonderful, he skipped school today, just to hold my hand and make sure I don't pass out. I did have some bacteria in my urine which could be the beginning of an infection...so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's not. They are sending it out to the lab to verify. I've been drinking lots of water, cranberry juice and eating yogurt (hoping to avoid any infections). I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the remainder of my pregnancy stays healthy. Hopefully a good iron count and no infections. We have 6 weeks left until our due date and realistically can be having a baby anytime between 3-7 weeks! So things are getting pretty exciting. Tomorrow we are taking our New Born Care Class and on Wed. we are meeting Mya's pediatrician: Dr. Pham with Pediatric Specialists. I will keep you posted as we move through the week.
